Bury St Edmunds’ rugby side secured their 32nd consecutive win by handsomely defeating their closest rivals in London One North.

The Haberden outfit moved 15 points clear of Eton Manor with just 25 more to play for by seeing off their visitors 34-16.

Chris Snelling, Ben Radmell, Sam Bixby and Brentan Krammer scored tries, while Will Martin kicked 14 points.

In London Two North East, Stowmarket lost 53-15 at home to Woodford, while Thurston were beaten 40-10 by Crusaders in Greene King IPA Eastern Counties League Division One.

Mildenhall and Red Lodge Eagles, who failed to win their first 10 games of the season, won their third consecutive match by seeing off Felixstowe 45-17. Thetford lost 49-7 at Norwich Medics.

John Sands took his goal tally to 26 for the season as Bury Town moved back into the Ryman League Premier Division play-off places with a 3-1 success at Carshalton Athletic.

The hosts had taken the lead before Craig Parker levelled when converting a penalty four minutes before the break.

In Ryman One North, Needham Market won 2-0 against Ware thanks to goals from Duane Wright and Bradley Barber.

Mildenhall Town and Walsham-le-Willows both lost ground in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division title race by drawing 1-1 away from home, Hall at Woodbride Town and Walsham at Ely City.

At the other end of the table, relegation-threatened Thetford Town were beaten 3-0 at Kirkley and Pakefield.

In the First Division, Team Bury beat Swaffham Town 2-1 while Stowmarket Town lost 4-1 at home to Halstead Town.
