Bury St Edmunds got back to winning ways with a 13-8 at home to East Grinstead in rugby’s SSE National Three London and South East.

Stowmarket lost 17-0 at home to South Woodham Ferrers in London Two North East, their third defeat in a row.

And there were wins for Thurston, Thetford and Mildenhall and Red Lodge Eagles in Greene King IPA Eastern Counties League Division Two.

In the Ryman League Premier Division, Bury Town were defeated 1-0 at home to Billericay Town, with Isacc Layne’s seventh-minute goal ensuring Blues are now without a league win in six matches.

Goals from Craig Nurse and Aaron Turner helped Mildenhall Town to a 2-0 win at Stanway Rovers to stretch their unbeaten run to five matches in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division.

Walsham-le-Willows fell to a second loss in a row with a 1-0 defeat at Newmarket Town and Thetford Town drew 3-3 at home to Brantham Athletic.

In the First Division, Stowmarket Town thrashed March Town United 7-0 at the GER Sports Ground, with a Ben Garnham hat-trick and goals from Carl Widdowson, Remell Davis, James Ross and Wayne Proctor helping Rick Andrews’ side to a fourth consecutive league win.

Team Bury bounced back from an 8-0 loss to Swaffham Town to draw 1-1 at promotion-chasing Saffron Walden Town.

In the Barclays Premier League, Norwich City drew 1-1 at home to Stoke City, while Ipswich Town lost 2-0 at Middlesbrough in the Sky Bet Championship.
