VIDEO: Thetford goalkeeper admits side were well beaten in FA Cup

Have your say

Mark Cruickshank spoke to deputy sports editor Russell Claydon following Thetford Town’s 3-0 defeat at home to Norwich United in the FA Cup preliminary round on Friday night.

The Thetford stopper was much the busier of the goalkeepers as former Brecklander Matt Blake scored a first-half brace to put the visitors 2-0 ahead at half-time.

Despite an improved second-half display, the hosts were unable to trouble Norwich United’s goal, with the visitors adding a third through Ben Thompson in the 86th minute.

Cruickshank admitted they were beaten by a much stronger side, but said they were positives to take out of the performance.
