Former King Edward VI Upper School pupil and ex-Ipswich Town midfielder Ed Upson spoke to Deputy Sports Editor Russell Claydon following the final whistle at Wembley.

The 23-year-old made history with Somerset club Yeovil Town on Sunday as their 2-1 League One play-off final win over Uwe Rosler’s Brentford takes them to the second tier of English football for the first time.

Upson, who played a part in both Yeovil goals, putting in the corner from which Dan Burn header in the second, spoke of his joy at lifting the play-off final trophy at Wembley which marked their ascent to the Championship.
