Needham Market got back to winning ways and returned to the top of the Ryman League Division One North table on Tuesday night.

Adam Mills came off the bench to settle their fixture with Redbridge in the 76th minute to get the Suffolk side immediately back to winning ways after Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Harlow Town in their top-of-the-table encounter.

For long periods it looked as if visiting custodian Matt Parker was going to earn Redbridge a point, but Mills bundled in Luke Ingram’s cross less than two minutes after being introduced.

Although Mark Morsley’s men are back on top, two points clear of Harlow, their title rivals hold two games in hand.

In the Red Insure Thurlow Nunn League Cup, Thetford Town were beaten 5-0 by Premier Division leaders Norwich United.
