TEAM Bury manager Ross Wilding is determined to clinch a top ten finish in their final three Ridgeons League First Division games despite currently sitting five points adrift.
The Ram Meadow outfit are in 12th position following a busy Easter weekend fixture list, following up a 1-1 draw at home to Debenham LC on Saturday, in which Harry Barker scored, with a narrow 1-0 defeat away to now promoted league leaders Thetford Town on Monday.
However despite being five points behind 10th placed Fakenham Town with just three games remaining, including visits to Ram Meadow of Halstead Town tomorrow (3pm) and struggling Cornard United Tuesday (7.45pm) before a trip to Swaffham Town the following Saturday, Wilding is still hopeful of ending the campaign in a top 10 berth.
“Finishing in the top ten is certainly still our aim but we will need to win our remaining games,” he said.
“Halstead and Cornard are winnable games and Swaffham away will be our cup final, it looks like it will go to the wire.
“I would love to go there in tenth and points ahead but I don’ think that will be the case.
“However If we can play like we did for long periods against Thetford then we will be fine.”
