MILDENHALL Town will kick off their bid for their first Ridgeons League title against Kirkley and Pakefield on August 13.

The Rec Way outfit are considered one of the favourites for the title having ended last season so strongly.

Meanwhile, fellow Ridgeons Premier side Walsham-le-Willows begin their season with a trip to Dereham Town, while Thetford, Stowmarket and Team Bury also kick off their First Division campaigns on August 13.

Mildenhall have snapped up striker Owen Paynter and midfielder Stuart Walker this summer, but are still waiting to hear whether or not they will lose prolific goalscorer John Sands to Cambridge United.

Hall’s first trip is on Tuesday, August 16, to Wisbech Town, while their festive fixtures consist of a home match against Stanway Rovers on New Year’s Eve and a short trip to Ely City on Bank Holiday Monday, January 2.

They have no Boxing Day fixture arranged and bring their season to a close at Wroxham on April 28.

Walsham – who are back under the stewardship of Paul Smith – are the first visitors of the season to the New Croft once again when they travel to Haverhill Rovers on Tuesday, August 16.

Their Boxing Day assignment is a trip to newly-promoted Diss, before visitng Brantham on New Year’s Eve and hosting Wroxham on Bank Holiday Monday, January 2.

They host Diss on Easter Monday, April 9, before ending their season with a home match against Essex outfit Stanway Rovers onb April 28.

In the First Division, Thetford Town will be looking to build on a strong season when they open against Long Melford on August 13 and then travel to Swaffham Town three days later.

They have no Boxing Day match, but host Debenham LC on Bank Holiday Monday, January 2, and Team Bury on East Monday, April 9, before finishing as they started, by taking on Long Melford on April 21, at Mundford Road.

Stowmarket Town had an excellent first half of the season and will be hoping for the same when they visit Saffron Walden Town on the opening day.

They visit Debenham LC on Boxing Day and host Team Bury on Bank Holiday Monday, January 2, with a season-ending match at Fakenham Town set for April 21.

Team Bury host Cambridge University Press at Ram Meadow on the opening day.

They visit Stow on January 2, Thetford Town on Easter Monday and finish with another trip to Norfolk when they visit Swaffham Town on April 21.
