In our match of the week Walsham-le-Willows Under-12s sealed their place in the ISYL Cup semi-finals with a 6-0 win over Woodbridge Town.

Will Egglestone got the hosts off to the perfect, opening the scoring early on but Walsham couldn’t add to their tally in the first half as they were denied by a combination of poor finishing and the woodwork.

However, that was all to change after the interval as Walsham found their clinical touch with further goals from Harvey Hubbard (two), Ed Justice, Alex Rice and George Clayton-Leek to finally seal their progression to the next round.

Brandon Town Youth Under-16s also enjoyed the winning feeling after cruising to a 6-1 rout at home to Framlingham.

Masters proved Town’s hero, netting an impressive four-goal haul with Freeman grabbing a brace to complete the scoring and secure all three points.

Another team to net a six-goal haul was Brandon Lasses Under-15s in a 6-0 win over Waveney.

Millie Bales proved Waveney’s main tormentor as she grabbed an impressive hat-trick with further goals coming from Sam Cole (two) and Ellesse Masters in a comfortable afternoon for the Lasses.

Brandon Town Youth Under-12s also grabbed maximum points following a comfortable 6-1 victory over Witnesham Wasps.

Two goals apiece from Bean and Edgecombe were added to with further strikes from Corbyn and Slater.

In what proved a successful weekend for Brandon, there was also a win for their Under-10s who returned from Diss Town with a 5-2 success.

Brandon raced into a four goal lead courtesy of goals from Bobby Holmes, Tom Corke (two) and Zac Grimewood before Diss gave themselves hope responding with two goals.

However there was to be no comeback as Jack Townsend added a fifth to ease any nerves.
