Jordan Patrick (pictured) and Craig Parker scored their first goals since signing for Bury Town this season as the Blues began their defence of the Ryman League Cup with a 3-0 win at Maldon and Tiptree.

Patrick opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time, but the match was not really secure until Michael Toner put through his own net 15 minutes from time and Parker struck in the final minute.

Meanwhile, Needham Market hammered Ware 6-1 thanks to a brace apiece from Sam Newson and Nathan Clarke, as well as single strikes from Kieran Leabon and Aaron Condon.
