Needham Market have announced the exciting signing of former Ipswich Town and Leeds United midfielder Ian Westlake for the coming season.

Westlake, who has most recently been playing in Canada with Montreal Impact, has agreed to the move to Bloomfields on a rolling one-year deal.

The 29-year-old came from the youth ranks at Portman Road where he went on to make 113 appearances, scoring 16 times, before moving onto Elland Road in 2006, where he made 47 appearances, scoring once.

He also enjoyed spells with Brighton and Hove Albion, Cheltenham Town, Oldham Athletic and Wycombe Wanderers before his switch to Montreal.
