Young referees Jake Fox, who is 18 and lives in Brandon, and 19-year-old Prince Frank, who lives in Woolpit, attended the FA Young Referees’ Development Conference at St George’s Park, the nation’s footballing centre of excellence.

They were among 100 referees aged under 21 who participated in the event, which is the brainchild of former Premier League referee David Elleray, now chairman of the FA Referees’ Committee and president of the Referees’ Association.

Fox and Frank were selected for the scheme because of the excellent progress they had made in their short careers and the potential they have shown.
