Hardwick’s successful period

Hardwick Middle School Sports College`s sports teams have had a sensational couple of weeks with a host of strong championship campaigns.

For the Under-12 rugby team it started with an undefeated run in the county finals to see them crowned champions. The team then went on to represent to Suffolk in the east of England finals where they finished a creditable third.

There was also joy for the Year 8 boys football team who clinched the West Suffolk Cup with a convincing 5-1 victory over a strong Thomas Gainsborough team courtesy of goals from Kurtis Lebbon, George Cox, Tom Smith and Jo Grimwood (two).

Not to be outdone, in the County netball finals the Year 7 girls team finished third and the Year 8 girls were crowned champions.

“These results are reward for all the hard work the youngsters have put into their sport this year, ,” said Head of PE Ben Jeffery.
