Bury Town earned their first point on their travels this season at high-flying Kingstonian in the Ryman League Premier Division.

The Blues’ coach did not arrive until 7.29pm, delaying the kick-off by 15 minutes until 8pm, but they matched their fifth-placed hosts.

Their play in the final third was the only thing that prevented them from turning one point into three — while goalkeeper Marcus Garnham also made some brilliant saves, including when he plunged to his left to keep out Steve Laidler’s 84th-minute drive.
