THE spoils were shared at the end of this derby encounter which saw Walsham confirm Ridgeons League Premier Division survival.

On 38 minutes, Walsham broke quickly and Ryan Foster’s quick pass to Jack Brame allowed him to cut in from the left and curl a shot over the keeper into the top corner.

Stuart Jopling levelled for the visitors, but Ollie Hughes rounded the goalkeeper to put Walsham back in front after half-time from Paul Musgrove’s break away.

Walsham had several chances to put the game out of sight, but a long throw into the box from Diss found Michael Steward, who tapped home from five yards.

WALSHAM-LE-WILLOWS moved to the brink of promotion with a six-goal haul at an FC Clacton side missing three defenders on Saturday.

Walsham scored within five minutes when Paul Musgrove’s free kick was headed in by Will Brown and, two minutes later, Jack Brame’s corner was headed in by Ollie Hughes with a smart header at the back post.

Ryan Foster, Jack Brame, Will Brown and Charlie Robinson combined in the move of the game for the latter to make it 3-0.

Ryan Foster added a fourth after a one-two with Brame before veteran ex-pro John Taylor came off the bench to score twice, the first a 30-yard lob.
