Chatham Town 0

Needham Market 2

NEEDHAM Market clinched a play-off spot following an ultimately comfortable 2-0 victory.

The visitors started strongly and almost opened the scoring as Lee McGlone headed Ollie Fenn’s cross narrowly wide after the half hour mark.

At the other end, Potter shot wide when well-placed from a Hales corner before a Tilley run again ended with another shot going wide.

The last action of the half saw McGlone drawing Roberts in to action from a Duane Wright cross and it was no surprise that the match entered the break goalless.

Needham started the second half the better and took the lead when McGlone took advantage of poor defending and put the visitors ahead after 54 minutes.

Tilley shot wide on the 90 minute mark before Angelo Harrop made the game safe for Needham in the 92nd minute when he converted a pull-back supplied by substitute Jack Wilkinson.
