Bury Town’s torrid run of form continued on Tuesday night as they slipped to a 3-0 defeat to Hampton and Richmond Borough, extending the Blues winless run to seven games.

In a forgetful evening for Richard Wilkins’ young side, Belal Aite-Ouakrim proved their main tormentor with an impressive hat-trick haul, while the manager’s misery was compounded by seeing Liam Wales and Tanner Call both receive straight red cards in the 83rd and 85th minute respectively, the latter just seven minutes into his debut.

Elsewhere, Needham Market kept their Ryman League Division One North play-off hopes alive with a vital 1-0 victory over promotion rivals Soham Town Rangers at Bloomfields.

In a tightly contested and even affair, substitute Sam Newson capitalised on the only clear cut opportunity in the 75th minute to snatch all three points for the Marketmen and keep them finely poised in the play-off picture.
