BURY Town got back to winning ways on Saturday after back-to-back defeats, with a 3-2 victory over Hythe Town in the FA Trophy second qualifying round at Ram Meadow.

Danny Cunningham’s opener was followed up with a Sam Reed brace as the Blues confirmed their progression in the competition.

Tomorrow’s scheduled match against Margate at Ram Meadow has had to be re-scheduled due to the visitors 1-1 draw with Wealdstone in the FA Trophy second qualifying round on Saturday.

Margate will now have to travel to Wealdstone tomorrow for a replay.

Meanwhile in the Ryman League Division One North, Needham Market closed the gap with early pacesetters Grays Athletic to just two points following a 2-1 victory over basement club Ilford.

Leading marksman Sam Newson continued his blistering goal scoring start to the season with a brace taking his early tally to 15 league goals in just 13 games.
