BURY Town’s improving form in the Ryman League Premier Division continued over the new year period as they collected a hard fought point at home in a 1-1 draw with table toppers Billericay Town yesterday.

Sam Reed gave the hosts the lead at Ram Meadow with a header in the 19th minute before powerful striker Jay May levelled with a thumping close range effort ten minutes before the interval to grab a share of the spoils.

Needham Market continue to endure a torrid run of form in Ryman League Division One North as they suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Suffolk rivals AFC Sudbury yesterday.

Dan Emmanuel’s goal in the 31st minute secured all three points for the hosts and condemned the Marketmen, who finished the match with 10 men after Deakin Napier’s dismissal for two bookings, to their third consecutive league defeat, in which they have conceded 10 goals in the process.
