Thetford Bulldogs Under-17s stand on the verge of Vase Cup glory after reaching the final courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Stowupland Falcons.
After an even start to proceedings in which both sides spurned a host of chances, it was the Bulldogs who broke the deadlock as Ross Firth struck.
With momentum behind them, Bulldogs, who reached the semi-final with a 2-1 victory over Scole, continued to pour forward and doubled their advantage before the interval as Jordan Lee’s corner picked out Jack Slaughter to scramble the ball over the line.
The second half proved a much less eventful 45 minutes with neither side able to add to the scoreline as Bulldogs, also made up of Dinis Laranijinha, Jordan Turner, Tomasz Rutkowski, Samual Fisher, Keiron Custon, Ethan Fuller, Harry Robinson, Peter Hawes and Pedro Laranijinha, booked their place in the final.
n Another side to enjoy that winning feeling at the weekend was Brandon Lasses Under-15s who romped to a 5-0 victory over Waveney.
In what proved a comfortable afternoon for the Lasses, doubles from Ellesse Masters and Sam Cole was added to by a further strike from Chloe Slater to wrap up proceedings.
There was also an impressive display from goalkeeper Katie Amacker to ensure a clean sheet.
