It pays to play fair in The Plastic Trade Frames Bury & District Sunday Football League.

Half-season and end-of-season awards are being made this season thanks to Chassis-Cab Ltd Truck Centres, a family owned business who are sponsoring the league’s Fair Play/Respect/Sportsmanship tables.

The standings are determined by club assessments on a weekly basis from reports received from referees, opposing clubs and discipline records.

The first four half-season divisional winners were presented with their awards by Stewart Rudd, parts sales manager of Chassis-Cab Ltd recently.

Division Four and overall winners Norfolk Terriers received £75, with Division One winners Bury Bowl, Division Two winners Black Boy and Division Three winners Brandon Sundays each receiving £50.

Suffolk FA senior football development officer Michael Cornall said: “This is a fantastic initiative from the Bury & District Sunday Football League.

“It gives clubs a brilliant incentive to ensure that they create a great football experience on match-day by playing in a fair and respectful environment.

The end-of-season league winners will receive £100 and overall winner £200 plus free admission into the league for 2017/18.
