Excellent fishing at Larkwood

Larkwood has seen some excellent fishing this week with good numbers of stock fish being caught and several of larger specimens being taken.

Good results were enjoyed by first-time visitors David Knight and John Pratt who caught 16 fish between them, including two cracking rainbows of 6.8lb and 10.8lb.

Some brown trout were also snapped up, which is normal at this time of year with the fish feeding hard to put on weight for the winter.

Most fish this week have been caught on daddy long legs, of which there are prolific numbers of the naturals around at the moment, but damsels, black buzzer and cats whiskers have also been used to good effect.
