AFC Weeting progressed in the Mick McNeil KO Cup against Westbury United with a 5-2 win, thanks to a Jeremy Knight hat-trick, and goals from the Hughes brothers, Sam and Freddie writes Bill Tinkler.

James Baker and Paul Power netted for Weeting.

Division One front runners, Home Guard 2014 lost to Bedrics Wor th, the visitors taking all three points with a 3-1 win. On target were Ross Locke (2) and Rees Foster. Clayton Dyer was the Home Guard scorer.

St Edmunds 1965’s 5-2 win against Bury Town Rams A sent them to the top of the Division. Goalscorers were Sam Whiting (2), Kieran Deehy, Carl Gage and Tommy Orr. Kevin Atkinson scored two for the Rams.

In the league, Bury Wanderers beat Elmswell Reserves 3-2 thanks to Joe Mc Coughlin (2) and Stacey Baker. Paul Cable and Tom Anderson were the Elmswell goalscorers.

Pointless RF Saints hosted unbeaten AFC Black Boy. The spoils were shared after a 1-1 draw. Paul Brockwell scored for the Saints and Jordan Wippy for the Boy.

The Trunk FC lost 3-1 against table toppers Thurston following goals from Jamie Young, Craig Bennett and Ollie Dredge. Liam Green netted for the Trunk.

In Division Three, Walsham-le-Willows B defeated Beck Row 5-1 away, with goals from Chris Caley, Haydn Davis and substitute Lee Sylvester (hat trick). Filipe Albino was Beck Row’s scorer.

Wortham Reserves lost 8-0 against Vipers FC at Hepworth following goals from Callum Dove (2) and Sam Waterson (2), Chris Wager, Dave Cornish, Matt Marett and Josh Reeves.
