Mike May was among those honoured as the Bury St Edmunds Croquet Club held their annual trophy dinner at Bury St Edmunds Golf Club.

It proved a case of double delight for May, who scooped two awards in the golf croquet section by winning the progressive doubles award and club doubles alongside Barbara Plested.

Neville Tribe scooped the club singles award while other winners on the night were, Gaie Bridgeford (victory cup), Chris Howell (level play) and Ruth Hill (most improved).

In the association croquet section awards were handed out to Simon Conran (club singles), John Robinette and Alan Plested (club doubles) and Chris Howell (Peter Rich Trophy).

In a memorable season, the club were also successful in retaining the Colbury Salver and the Tulips Trophy.
