County joy for Spectrum gymnasts

Several members of Bury Spectrum Gymnastics Club gained county glory last week to qualify in style for the regional finals.

Tilly Heath finished second overall in the grade five, aged nine, category to qualify for the regional finals.

Aimee Morris and Maisy Freeman were second and third respectively in the grade five, aged 10/11, category to reach the regionals, while Spectrum gained a one-two-three in the grade five, aged 12-plus, category with Jessica Marshall first, Holly Hards second and Ciara Leeson third.

In grade four, age 10, Katie Rogers fought hard to finish third, so qualified for the regionals, while fellow grade four competitors Asha Hutchens (third in age 11/12) and Leah Rogers (first in age 13-plus) joined their clubmates.

The grade three, age 11/12, competition was close with Mallory Starks first, Kati Masson second and Courtney Davey third to qualify for the regional finals. In grade three, age 13-plus, Olivia Starr finished first, while in grade two, age 12/13, Kayleigh Gazmuri-Symmes was second.

In grade two, aged 14-plus, Megan Eke finished third, while Eleanor Heath was first in grade one.

In grade one, aged 15-plus, Niamh Gill-Ryan finished first.
