Club gets set for busy sailing season

The St Edmundsbury Sailing and Canoeing Association swing back into action with a Spring Working Party at Lackford Lake on Saturday, before the sailing season kicks off on Sunday.

A busy programme is scheduled this year with sailing, rowing or canoeing activities taking place on nearly every day throughout the summer including the Bury St Edmunds, Mildenhall and Newmarket Sea Cadets; YPA (Young People Afloat); WASH Sailability (disabled sailing); Suffolk Scouts and Priory and Culford Schools.

Club racing takes place on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday mornings, with a Thursday evening pursuit series starting at the end of April.

The club will be hosting the Antigua Sailing Day Regatta, which is being held on Sunday, April 26 and the RYA Push the Boat Out Open Weekend, which is being held in May.
