West Suffolk College’s rugby squad enjoyed victories in the second round of games in the RFUs 10s competition at Woodbridge last Thursday.

West Suffolk opened with a competitive win against King Edward VI School, with Rui Monterio’s excellent try allowing them to come out on top by five tries to one.

They followed that up with the same scoreline against Thomas Mills, with some fantastic play from Sam Bragoli-Jones in defence allowing the likes of Ed Ballam and Malik Lock to get on the scoresheet.

A fantastic comeback in their final match of the day saw them overturn a 10-7 deficit to gain revenge against Farlingaye, who had beaten West Suffolk in the previous round of matches, which was held at Stowmarket.

Ballam’s try, converted by Lock, had West Suffolk in front, but Farlingaye seized the lead before James Watson’s superb offload to Luke Reinman set up the winning try.

West Suffolk: Aaron Forest, Olly Deeming, Rui Monterio, Ed Ballam, Harry Stevens, Sam Bragoli-Jones, Liam Borley, James Watson, Matt Baldwin, Ben Jeacock, Luke Reinman, Malik Lock, Jordan Langham, George Holdgate, Ben Lane.
