n Eastern Counties will be battling for a visit to Twickenham when they take on Berkshire in the semi-final of the RFU National Under-20s Championship at Cambridge on Sunday (2.15pm).

Bury’s Luke Reineman, Connor Adams, Charlie Pask, Oliver Prescott Frost and Sam Bragoli-Jones are set to be involved.

n Bury’s third string — the Wolves — were knocked off the top of Greene King IPA Eastern Counties League Division Two West after suffering a 19-10 loss at Cambridge IV.

That allowed Cantabrigian II to leapfrog them to the summit with a heavy defeat of Mildenhall and Red Lodge.

A fantastic passage of play allowed Cameron Brough to saunter under the posts for Bury’s opening five points, but Patrick Turner missed the conversion.

With the wind in their favour, Cambridge dominated the second half and moved into a 12-5 lead.

Pressure from a determined Bury side paid off when Giles Cooper finished off a well-worked move in the corner, but Cambridge touched down again.

Bury’s final league game will be at home to Renegades on March 21 — to book a place at the pre-match lunch, call Kim Turner on 07557258875.
