BURY St Edmunds’ winning streak in the East Anglian Premier League has been brought to an end after a disappointing 91 run defeat away to Copdock and Old Ipswichians.
Bury came into the encounter on the back of two consecutive victories but they struggled in bat after the hosts had set a target of 223-6.
Only Simon Rees scored more than 20 runs, top scoring with 43, as the visitors were bowled out for just 132 to slump to defeat.
Meanwhile Suffolk are currently in action away to Hertfordshire in their MCCA Eastern Division encounter.
Suffolk won the toss and put the hosts in bat, who are currently on 85-4.
In the football, Bury Town have received two homes draw’s in the FA Competitions for season 2012/13.
In the FA Cup, the Blues will take on fellow Premier Division side Canvey Island at Ram Meadow on Saturday, September, 8 and in the FA Trophy, Bury will also face another Ryman Premier Division side, Whitehawk on Saturday, September 29.
