Bury’s relegation fears worsen as torrid run continues
Bury Town remain rooted to the foot of the Ryman League Premier Division table after seeing their winless run extended to six matches following a 4-0 defeat at Leatherhead last night (Wednesday).
Jerry Nnamani opened the scoring after 16 minutes before Vas Karagiannis doubled the home sides advantage from the spot in first half injury time.
Things failed to improve after the break for the Blues as Kieran Hughes-Mason helped himself to two goals after 82 and 93 minutes to wrap up proceedings.
The defeat leaves Ben Chenery’s side 11 points away from safety and for the first time this season, Bury find themselves more points adrift than there are games remaining (10) ahead of hosting fellow strugglers AFC Honchurch on Saturday (3pm).
