Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club will begin their second season in the National League 2 with a home contest against Clifton.
The game will be played at the Greene King IPA Haberden on Saturday, September 3 at 3pm.
Following Cambridge’s promotion as champions, Bury’s nearest neighbours are now Bishop’s Stortford, who will play host to Gavin Hogg’s men seven days after the season-opener.
The return meeting between the two sides will be on December 17.
Prior to those fixtures, Bury have pre-season friendlies versus Shelford (August 13, H) and Coventry (August 27, A).
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Bury’s 2XV (Wolfhounds), 3XV (Wolves) and 4XV (Rovers) all secured promotion from their respective divisions for the 2016-17 campaign.
The Wolfhounds will play in the Tech Shield 1, which is a specialist division for National league club 2nd XV’s.
As for the Wolves, they successfully gained promotion to Eastern Counties 1, which will see them play alongside many local first-team clubs.
The Rovers secured elevation into the Eastern Counties 3.
