Bury St Edmunds Croquet Club lost a 4-3 thriller against Newport.

In the morning, Tony Harvey and Alan Plested won their doubles match against Bernard Yallop and Roy Darling by plus three hoops on time.

John Robinette pegged out plus 12 against Andrew Gregory and Just Blake-James lost to Arthur by four hoops on time.

After lunch, Harvey lost to Gregory by 11 hoops, Robinette lost to Flutter by seven hoops on time and Blake-James beat Darling by three hoops on time.

In the final moments of the day Plested lost to Yallop, by four, on time.
