Bury find themselves in second spot after losing on the road at leaders

Bury Men’s first team lost their top-of-the-table encounter away at Harleston Magpies III on Saturday.
Magpies took the lead, but Bury responded with plenty of pressure and were rewarded with an equalising goal.
However, the hosts struck again 15 minutes from time with a penalty stroke that proved to be the match-winning moment.
Bury now trail Harleston on goal difference.
n In the same division, Bury St Edmunds Men’s II lost 5-2 at home to Pelicans II.
n Bury St Edmunds Men’s III are third in Division 4NE after they recorded a 3-1 victory over I-ES IV.
Alex Gospel, Ryuhei Sharisu and Paul Lawrence were all on the scoresheet for Bury.
n Goals from Richard Prentice and Chris Newman were unable to stop Bury Men’s IV slipping to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Harleston Magpies V in Division 5NE.
n Also in Division 5NE, Bury Men’s V lost at home 3-1 to Dereham III.
n Henry Whiley scored twice as Bury Men’s VI won 3-1 at Felixstowe IV.
Jacob Walton was also on target with a penalty for the sixth team, who sit top of the table with seven matches played.
n In the East Women’s League Division 1N, Bury St Edmunds Ladies I lost 2-0 at home to table-toppers Dereham I.
As well as scoring a goal in either half, Dereham had numerous short corners, but good defending and goalkeeping from Bury kept the score down.
n In Division 2NE, Bury St Edmunds Ladies II were thrashed 7-0 by Harleston Magpies III, while in Division 4NW(S), Bury St Edmunds Ladies III were given a walkover 5-0 win after Royston II conceded the fixture.
n On Sunday, Bury St Edmunds Under-18 Boys were beaten 7-0 in the EH Knockout Trophy by Norwich City.
n Bury St Edmunds Under-18 Girls lost 6-1 to Norwich City in the EH Championship, with Sophie Beaumont scoring their consolation goal.
