Bronze among successes at regional championships

A quartet from Stowmarket Swimming Club enjoyed individual success at the regional championships in Luton.

Chloe Long, Mikey Fisher, Calvin Coe and Finn Middleton all swam at the East Region Winter Championships, having gained entry through qualifying times.

Coe swam all the difficult events; 200m butterfly, 200m breaststroke and 200m individual medley (IM), achieving personal bests (pbs) in 400m freestyle and 400m individual medley.

He also enjoyed a 50m freestyle sprint, along with Fisher, the oldest swimmer this year representing Stowmarket, who also swam the 100m freestyle.

Long enjoyed swimming the 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke and 200m individual medley, achieving pbs in the 200m IM and the 200m backstroke.

In a fantastic swim she also gained a regional time for 2015.

Finn Middleton also swam to success in the S8 category in which he achieved both a pb and a bronze medal in the 100m Freestyle.
