Ollie Brown has become the latest big name signing at Stowmarket Town this summer after agreeing a deal to join the club next season.

The former Needham Market defender is the fourth new arrival at Greens Meadow, after the signings of ex-professional Scott Mitchell, former Needham and Leiston midfielder Angelo Harrop and prolific striker Andrew Wood from Walsham-le-Willows.

The Old Gold and Blacks won the Thurlow Nunn League First Division title on the final day of last season, the club’s first league title since 1951, and will be playing in the Premier Division next season.

Stow manager Rick Andrews said of the signing: “Late last week the opportunity presented itself to try and bring Ollie to the club and we had a chat.

“The move suits Ollie’s personal life, with his partner due to have a baby soon, and in my opinion he’s one of the best wing backs in the county.”
