Bury sign Horne from AFC
Bury Town have announced the signing of Ryan Horne.
The midfielder has arrived at Ram Meadow from neighbouring AFC Sudbury, whom he joined midway through last season from higher-league St Neots Town.
Manager Ben Chenery told Bury's website: "I met with Ryan at the beginning of the week and I am very pleased that he was keen to join us.
"He got back to me quickly and we have agreed a deal and that shows that he wants to play for us.
"He is a player with experience at this level and the level above, as well as his time with Cambridge United.
"He will fit well within our team and I am looking forward to him joining us in a couple of weeks when we start pre-season training."
Horne looks set to fill the midfield void left by Noel Aitkens, who is expected to join Leiston once compensation between the two clubs is agreed.
Horne made 21 appearances for Sudbury during 2017/18, from which he scored three goals.
The former Soham Town Rangers player has become Bury's second addition of the summer after Ryan Gibbs.
