FESTIVAL FUN: Action from Bury Bombers' Legacy festival

Bury Bombers Wheelchair Basketball Club organised the first East Region British Wheelchair Basketball Paralympic Legacy Festival on Sunday.

Although Bombers lost to Norwich Lowriders and Frenford Falcons, coaches Daniel Dickings and Paul Guest were pleased with their displays.

Demi Irvine-Bird was awarded shot of the day and George Collins player of the match, while fourteen family members joined with club members for a basketball experience, coached by Jill and Hugh Anderson.

The first team then had a scrimmage with members of Lowriders first team.

Training has been difficult for Bombers recently with illness and injury, so it was a great opportunity to have a 55 session against very good opposition.
