The good, the bad and the ugly

I have always taken an interest in the developement of our lovely town but the photo (above) you produced (Bury Free Press, February 15) is a prime example of where architects and councillors prove they do not have the knowledge, design and skills when allowing such an ugly building to be built next to a major road exposed to all who visit the town.

The offices built opposite the flats facing King’s Road is an improvement which I classified as quite good and acceptable with its exposed flint work, so when assessing these buildings – and one must not forget the Debenhams store – what comes to mind is ‘the good, the bad and the ugly’.
