I’m sure many of your readers will share my dismay at the closure of the Cantonese Restaurant in Hatter Street this weekend after 26 years service and more before that. It is the end of an era.

Hung Chow Chung (Patrick) and his colleagues are retiring from running one of Bury’s most charismatic restaurants. I would just like to say ‘thank you’ and wish them all a long and happy retirement.
