Cowardly, vile act

Have your say

I AM sure I am not alone in feeling disgust at the destruction of grave markers in Libya. Most of the graves in that Commonwealth cemetery were Desert Rats who had fought so bravely during the North Africa campaign which lasted from 1939 to 1942. These were the bravest of the brave.

Those despicable cowards who carried out this vile act were armed to the teeth although there was no-one to defend this sacred ground. Had those men commemorated by those gravestones been alive, those cowards would not have entered the cemetery, and just as well because it would have been a ‘no contest’.

I am sure the Commonwealth War Graves Commission will reinstate this graveyard and thankfully the majority of Libyans have respect for Christian burials
