A charity is holding a free breakfast seminar to advise employers about their responsibilities to staff with cancer.

Lisa Hayward, Birketts senior associate, will speak about employers’ legal responsibilities, while Macmillan Cancer Support will offer advice on free resources for employers, employees and carers.

A Macmillan spokeswoman said: “Nearly 1,000 people of working age are diagnosed in the county each year and many more of working age live with the diagnosis and continue to work after or even through their treatment.”

The Managing Cancer in the Workplace seminar will take place from 8am to 10am on Tuesday at Denny Bros conference rooms, in Kempson Way, Bury St Edmunds.
