Woman reports sexual assault in Bury St Edmunds town centre

A woman reported a sexual assault in Bury St Edmunds town centre in the early hours of Sunday morning (December 8).

The woman was collecting food from a takeaway in the town centre at 1.50am and became aware of a male walking behind her.

He sped up and sexually assaulted her.

She crossed the road but he followed her and sexually assaulted her again.

She challenged him and he swore at her before leaving the scene.

He is described as white, 5ft 10in tall, of a strong build and had short cropped light brown fair hair.

He was wearing a black puffer jacket and spoke with a foreign accent.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting reference 42 of December 8.
