Woman in twenties involved in serious A1066 crash near Thetford




A woman in her twenties had to be extricated from her vehicle after a crash near Thetford.

Emergency services were called to the incident on the A1066 around 9pm last night (Tuesday, May 14) with reports the female driver was injured.

A volunteer doctor from emergency medical charity Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) also attended, and a statement said the woman was involved in a serious collision.

No other cars are believed to have been involved.

East of England Ambulance Service and fire services also attended the scene.

A statement from SARS said: “The SARS doctor assessed the patient and provided advanced pre-hospital treatment for a leg injury.

“The SARS doctor then accompanied the patient via land ambulance to hospital monitoring her condition throughout.”
