Woman injured after roof collapse at Thetford pub

A woman suffered minor injuries after a roof collapsed at an outbuilding at a Thetford pub yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the King’s Head, in White Hart Street, just before 4pm.

Two fire crews from Thetford and East Harling made the building safe.

The Urban Search and Rescue team from Dereham also attended the incident.

A police spokesman said: “Officers were called to the King’s Head pub shortly before 4pm following reports that part of the roof had collapsed.

“One woman has been taken to hospital with minor injuries.

“All emergency services attended and the police helicopter was mobilised.”

Police cordoned off the area while they dealt with the incident.
