Emergency services are on the scene of a collision between a pedestrian and a bus in Bury St Edmunds town centre.

Police and ambulance crews from the East of England Ambulance Service were called to St Andrew’s Street South at around 3.15pm to reports of the collision.

Medics treated one patient at the scene, a woman in her 20s, who has been taken to West Suffolk Hospital. There are currently no details about her injuries.

A police spokesman said the road is likely to be closed for some time.
