Woman cut from car after single vehicle collision at Whepstead


Fire crews cut a woman from her car after a single vehicle collision on the B1066 in Whepstead last night.

Fire engines from Wickhambrook and Long Melford attended the scene at 7.18pm along with a rescue vehicle from Sudbury.

On arrival, crews found a single vehicle had left the road and had gone into a dry ditch.

Firefighters removed the roof of the vehicle and extricated a female casualty.

She was taken to hospital by land ambulance for further assessment.

All crews were back to base by 9.20pm.
