Woman breaks leg after falling from horse

A woman was airlifted to hospital this morning after falling of a horse and breaking her leg in Santon Downham.

The East of England Ambulance Service received the call just after 8am today, July 26.

An ambulance crew and the East Anglian Air Ambulance were immediately sent to the scene in Marks Lane.

Medics treated a woman in her 30s who had broken her leg.

She was sedated and airlifted to West Suffolk Hospital for treatment.

Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
