Woman assaulted while walking her dog in Thetford

A PERSON who dragged a woman into an alley is being hunted by police.

Police today appealed for witnesses to the incident in Canons Walk, Thetford, on Tuesday when a 59-year-old woman walking her dog was grabbed and pulled into an alley beside some shops.

Police said: “An unknown person took hold of her arm and pulled her into an alleyway by the shops. They put their arms either side of her without touching her, but ran off when she shouted and the dog barked. She was shaken but unhurt.”

Officers want to speak to anyone who may have seen the woman or the offender in the area of the Canons Walk shops.
