Woman admits causing death by careless driving in RAF Mildenhall crash

A woman from Beck Row has appeared in court to admit causing death by careless driving.

Candice Griffin, 25, was driving one of three cars involved in a collision in West Row Road, Mildenhall on October 15 last year in which 75-year-old David Rolfe of Sunningdale Avenue, Mildenhall, died.

Griffin, of Friesian Close, Beck Row, today pleaded guilty at Ipswich Crown Court.

She was told by Judge David Goodin that she would continue to be granted bail until she returns to the same court to be sentenced on December 4.

Mr Rolfe, who had ben travelling in a Toyota car, was declared dead at the scene of the collision close to the gate to RAF Mildenhall. Griffin, who was driving a Mazda car, was treated for shock following the accident.
