Witness tip-off helps police arrest two men after burglary in Red Lodge

Two 19-year-old men have been arrested following a burglary at a home in Red Lodge this afternoon.

Police were contacted around 2.25pm today (Wednesday) to reports of two males acting suspiciously in Warren Road. The caller reported seeing the two jumping over a fence at the back of the property and proceeded to give the calltaker a description of the men.

Officers were immediately deployed to the area and arrested the two within ten minutes of the original call.

Police would like to thank the caller for alerting officers quickly and for her assistance throughout.

The two arrested have been taken into custody at Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre where they will be interviewed by detectives.

Enquiries are continuing into the incident and anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around this time is asked to call Suffolk Police on 101, quoting CAD 237 of today, Wednesday, May 6.
