POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious accident between a car and a pedestrian in Thetford at the weekend.

A black BMW was in collision with a male pedestrian in Vicarage Road, at 3.24pm on Saturday.

The man, believed to be local and in his 20s, suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge.

The driver of the car was unhurt.

Officers want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or may have seen the BMW before the accident, it was driving towards Norwich Road.

Calls should be made to PC Robert Hardingham at Wymondham Roads Policing on 101.
